POR FESR Lazio 2014-2020 Axis 3 Competitiveness
“Grants to support the digitization processes of Lazio enterprises”
“DIGITAL INNOVATION PROJECTS”
The Project consists of the complete digitization of Assing’s production and warehouses, through the use of a suite of software applications specialized in the operational management of processes, the WMS-MES software; where WMS stands for Warehouse Management Software (thus relating to Logistics and Warehouses), MES stands for Manifacturing Execution Software (relating specifically to Production Management).
It involves implementing software capable of managing with digital tools and thus optimizing all the operational activities of the Company’s internal production and distribution warehouses, starting with the receipt of raw materials, components and semi-finished products, up to their transfer to the production areas, the management of returned materials and up to the pouring of the Finished product and its shipment to the End Customer, all while ensuring complete traceability of deadlines, batches and serial numbers of critical components, so that the history of the assembled finished products can, at any time, be reconstructed.
Specific software functions will also be implemented expressly dedicated to the computerized management of Quality Control and related inspections and sampling, which will be carried out on critical components using portable radio terminals equipped with bar code readers. Also in this regard, special software functionalities will be implemented to enable the management of logical quarantine, with the consequent relevant advantages.
This intervention is precisely functional to the process of constant improvement and adaptation to the latest information technology and methodologies, as this is a critical review on the performance of warehouse and logistics personnel and production departments. The review understood as one of the three component cycles of the adaptation process, while the other two cycles are implementation and commissioning. Specific software functionalities for Production Planning will be implemented, starting with the compilation of a Master production Schedule (MPS), leading to the preparation of Production Planning and then the determination of the assets used, with saturation levels by phases and cycles. These features will be graphical, for improved human-machine interaction.
Production cycles with their phases will also be managed and editable by the user, as will the loading and unloading of components and semi-finished products to and from the work account.
The Project will be financed thanks to the resources made available by the POR-FESR 2014-2020 for a total of € 54,061.91
